2. Article: "Life After High School" by Annie Murphy Paul
  1. Pre-Read
    • annotate/label for title, author, genre, features of the text, publication date
    • make a prediction about what the article will say on the front page at the top
    • number the paragraphs (don't include the headings) there are 23 paragraphs!
  2. Read and Annotate
    • read each paragraph and circle key names or words, underline claims and label them "C", circle evidence and label it "E"
    • make a comment or short summary sentence in the margin for every paragraph.
  3. Answer the "Ten Questions for Non-Fiction Text" on a separate sheet of binder paper in complete sentences.
  4. Write a rhetorical precis- MLA Format either hand written in ink, or typed and printed out due Friday!
